We all know that former Friends star Jennifer Aniston is a dog lover, but now it seems she has discovered the joys of raising chickens.
Jen found she had inherited a chicken coop on the new property she recently purchased, and it included a flock of chickens!
The former “Friends” actress seems to be taking their care very seriously, and commented that she's really enjoying the company of her new feathered friends. She said, “They’re very social animals, and they like it when you visit them with a cup of coffee in your hand. They also love pasta.”
More than a few people have quit eating meat once they get to know their chickens up close and personal, so I wonder if Jen will soon be announcing that she is a vegetarian now she has started raising chickens of her own and getting to know their individual characters?

I have been raising chickens for years, my children, now grown, also raised chickens and were involved in 4H and FFA.Raising poultry is a life -enriching pursuit and my children benefited in so many ways from raising chickens, ducks, turkeys, & geese. Now as a grandmother of 8 I am sharing the love of raising poultry with my grandchildren and they in turn are learning so much, and enjoying their chickens especially !

I hope Jennifer Aston keeps up with her poultry, there is no better therapy than to grab a cup of coffee or glass of wine and simply sit back and enjoy watching your chickens...somehow this seems to help put life back into perspective.
Great! We've been raising chickens for over 3 years now and they are wonderful pets. Very relaxing to watch! It's good to see more and more people becoming more sustainable and less dependent on outside resources.
Even after a lifetime as a professional caretaker of the most exotic of zoo animals, I am astounded, touched and warmed by the friendly, interactive and even affectionate nature of my chickens. They love cuddling, seek out attention, fall asleep in my arms or perched on my hands, and two of my biggest Splash Cochin hens like to wander into my home and sleep in the doggie bed at my feet as I work at the computer. Everyone should have the opportunity to get to know and fall in love with pet chickens!
